Supurrcats creator Lia has had a lifelong love affair with crafting—beginning as a child when she preferred selling handmade bookmarks over lemonade. She went on to work at Martha Stewart, enviously eyeing the office craft room and dreaming of one day having her own.
Lia's entrepreneurial spirit has powered her through many ventures, from leading product development at Uncommon Goods to her latest creation—Supurrcats.

The very first Supurrcat was lovingly crafted in honor of Avellina, the girl who was born with a broken heart. This special cat was left on a tribute bench in New York City's West Village, for a lucky passerby to find and cherish.
Originally, Supurrcats were made and sold to raise money for Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep, a nonprofit that sends photographers to hospitals to capture treasured memories of babies who have, or are expected to, pass away.
Supurrcats continues this tradition today by donating one photography session annually to a grieving family in need. If this cause speaks to you, we welcome donations made in Avellina's memory here.
